Gram Geraghty
A Bruce rockin’, Wookie loving, Rams crazy Gram, born 18th march 1976, is Mic’s brother and the band’s eldest member. Music has always been a constant force in Gram’s life and it was his sister’s record collection (The Cure, The Smiths, The The, Lloyd Cole & The Commotions and Leonard Cohen) and the radio that spurned this interest. After receiving his first guitar for Christmas at the age of 8, he got to learn how to play it in school and by borrowing a Segovia Guitar book from the school library.

He got his first band together with some high school buddies in the early 90s. Initially called “Delirium” they later went on to become “Utopian Dream” and they played gigs in the Baggott Inn, the White Horse Inn and the Mean Fiddler (now The Village) where they supported bands such as Juniper (now BellX1 and Damien Rice).

Out of the ashes of “Utopian Dream” he formed “Maize” (made up of his college friends and the old “Utopian Dream” drummer). During his time in “Maize” Gram took more of a role in song writing and his main influences were (and still are) Bruce Springsteen, Rolling Stones, James Brown, Dave Matthews Band, The Frames, Chuck Berry, Prince, Thin Lizzy, Counting Crows, Uncle Tupelo, Whiskeytown, The Replacements, Gram Parsons and of course, David Hasselhoff(!). “Maize” went on to support acts like Mundy, Aslan and The Frames playing in venues like the Funnel and Whelans.

When “Maize” broke up in 2000 Gram went into hiatus for a few years before being asked to play with Mic, Si, Cat and Lynch in T.K.O.
