Mic Geraghty
Born 25th March 1982.Micheal Geraghty was the youngest of three children. From an early age his parents noticed that music was a big influence on Mic so they decided to invest in a piano. The “G.A.Buckland&Co.” piano still sits proudly in the house and led Mic on to the amazing world of music.

Mic completed his grade 5 exams in piano at the Royal College Of Music. Then took the decision to continue playing but his way, writing songs. Around this time Mic had gone through various stages in Music, including Pop, Rap and Dance. With his brother Gram constantly playing rock music around the house, his sister Michelle playing Lloyd Cole, and his parents playing The Dubliners, it was only a matter of time before Mic found his feet in music.

After watching Oasis Unplugged he was a changed man. He decided to learn Guitar and took every opportunity to annoy Gram to find out a new chord or two. Mic ended up teaching himself the guitar with a little help from gram and anyone else who was about. This phase led to his main influence The Beatles who he will argue and win any objection to them being the best band to ever walk the planet!

Mic started a school band called Flashbax, which he recruited Si and Stephen for, this brought him to the gig scene in Dublin. Songwriting became a big thing for Mic and his first song “take me away”, as he confesses, will never be heard again! Eventually Flashbax was no more and after a brief hiatus T.K.O. was formed. New songs, new style and new influences changed Mic for the better. Mic loves to learn new instruments and has tried his hands at Bass, Drums, Accordion and Harmonica amongst others. His song “The One” was voted into the top100 songs by hot press in 2002.

His influences range from The Beatles to The Who, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Marley, Dave Matthews Band, John Mayer, The Frames, Paddy Casey, Mundy, Thin Lizzy, Bruce Springsteen, Prince, Beach Boys, Counting Crows and The Dubliners among many many others.

T.K.O. is Mic’s mission as well as the other lads. So sit back and enjoy the shows………
